Hotel Mar Blanco is located in the beach town of Matanzas, 10 minutes from Pupuya beach by car.

We had a very nice stay! The room was very nicely decorated. The beach lounge was great, the service of the staff was generally great, though a little less attentive in the night. Breakfast was good, I like the personal serving instead of buffet. For dinner we had shared a tabla for 2 and had some cocktails, both were very good.

The location, efficient and pretty space, and the views were amazing. The breakfast delivery was a treat and made us feel like we were being taken care of. Constance at the front desk was especially kind and helpful, given we had to use google translate often and needed some extra help with a couple of questions.

Place is nice and view of ocean is amazing and stargazing is spectacular. Place is very cozy, have everything you need for cooking. Also there is a wood stove. Bed is super comfortable. Communication with the host is also very good. For surfing you can go straight to the beach. No need to drive.

    The beach is great and there is an excellent pizza...

    The beach is great and there is an excellent pizza restaurant. There are also plenty of little shops where you can buy groceries or other things you need. It is close to Navidad, where they are more stores and a pharmacy. We walked around the area by the shops restaurants, and cabanas, and it was nice to not have to find parking by the beach.

    This is a great small hotel with a set of cabins, the scenery is beautiful, and there is a lot of attention to detail. The landscaping is amazing. The bar is minimal but enough to get a drink and food. The bed is very comfortable and when it is cold outside the room can be toasty, while when it is warm is fresh. The breakfast is good. The people working in the hotel are super nice and helpful. And the area is just stunning.

    The breakfast was excellent, with homemade jam and local bread, plus eggs or avocado and very good (real) coffee. The location was very central, close to 3 restaurants, and only 200 metres from Matanzas beach. The bedrooms are modest but fine, with comfortable, firm beds, and the common-room had a constant wood-burning fireplace on the go when we stayed in winter (August).

    The welcome was terrific. The family-owned hotel is very welcoming. The breakfast is nice with warm bread, homemade jams and always with fresh fruits or juice. The hotel, the room, the bathroom is very clean and there is a daily cleaning too.
