Augsburg is a very elegant and beautiful city. The streets are lined with colorful stylish buildings, most rebuilt to the original plans following one of the heaviest allied bombings in 1944. The church of St Ulrich & Afra is a marvel, as is the Golden Hall in the Rathaus. The unique water system and the Fuggerei social housing complex also make Augsburg stand out in a historical context

Beautiful, clean city, with very interesting architecture.
Beautiful, clean city, with very interesting architecture. It is worth to visit Schaezlerpalais and the house of Leopold Mozart. It is very easy to walk throught the city where you can find everything you need. There is many nice restaurants, where they offer good and tasty food or small caffes for good coffee with a great cake. Our favorite restaurant was Aposto Augsburg.

A really interesting place with beautiful architecture.. but...
A really interesting place with beautiful architecture.. but very busy. We were really interested in the small museum upstairs in St Anna’s church about Luther. It was very informative and well put together. The hotel Jakoberhof was right opposite the Feuggeri - the oldest social housing project in the world which was fascinating. We ate once at Burger meets Falafel which was just round the corner from the hotel.

Augsburg is rich in culture.
Augsburg is rich in culture. All the sightseeing spots are accessible with the street train and by walking. Diverse food culture. The locals were gracious enough to help us with giving us directions etc in English so we were thankful for that.
We’ll go back again in a heartbeat.
This my 3rd stay at this property, when we consider that Hotel Jakober Hof and this property has the same reception desk, same staff, friendly. In every visit, I saw new people as staff, but they have been consistently friendly overall.
Rooms were big enough, Tram1 and a bus stops next door. While bathroom and toilets are shared, there was a mirror and a sink right in the room, so you dont have to walk all the way just for washing hands, face. There was a desk, a few chairs and cupboard.
The hotel was modern; the room was clean and had all the necessary amenities (apart from hair conditioner). The breakfast buffet was marvelous with a great variety of food, and we got gluten free bread every morning for my mom. Although not super central, the location was well connected with public transport and a nice walk from the city centre. We liked the free apples in the lobby and the option to have a light dinner at the restaurant.
We chose the Dom Hotel because we had been there in 2019 and had a good experience then. It is located a block outside the tourist area which made it quieter but still close. Our room, 105, was large, clean, and quiet. The bed was comfortable too. Their breakfast is excellent with all the potential choices of a high quality. They also have a very safe area for storing bicycles. My encounters with the staff were always pleasant.
The room was clean and modern, and quite large. I was worried about some footballers upstairs, but didn't hear them and, despite being on the first floor, did not hear anything from the restaurant/bar downstairs, or traffic from the road, so their soundproofing was first rate.
The quality was comparable to a big, anonymous chain hotel, but with touches that gives it personality.
Easy to find hotel, great location near pedestrian zone and main train station.
On-site secured parking was great (if a bit tight!)
Breakfast! The highlight - great selection of excellent food and coffee/ drinks. Worth the 15€ fee!
Staff was friendly and helpful.
This is an outstanding hotel with very friendly and welcoming staff. We appreciated the large room, antiques on each floor, and the central location. We travel occasionally though this part of Germany and will definitely stay here again.
Wonderful elegant hotel with very impressive management, concerned for the well-being of the guests, finding time to speak to all of them.
Will definitely return when in Bavaria. Good option for easy journey or commute to Munich.
The hotel is conveniently located near the city centre and has a nearby walking trail surrounded by greenery. However, the view from the fourth floor is disappointing. The check-in and check-out processes are quick and hassle-free.
You get what you pay for. The room is standard for Ibis Budget, basic, clean and nothing was broken. The linen was yellowish (not dirty, just oldish) and the pillows were super thin. Other than that, everything was ok.
The hotel is in a convenient location close to the train station and Königsplatz / the city center. The room was quiet and comfortable if a bit small. Staff were friendly.
Rooms are more spacious than in some other Ibis Budget hotels. Air conditioning was a plus. Good Wi-Fi. Bakery and 24/7 store at the gas station nearby.
Family friendly hotel, great staff, plenty of space in the rooms and great location. A great supermarket is just next door and so it's the City Centre.
